FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JORDAN DOELL ADDED TO MERRITT ‘WALK OF STARS’ CELEBRATION Vancouver Recording Artist Joins AJ Woodworth and The Higgins at the Country Capital of Canada’s Spirit Square Opening Celebration Merritt, B.C. (November 24, 2009) – Jordan Doell, Vancouver’s own rockin’ country entertainer, is pleased to announce he has been added to the performance line up for the Merritt Walk of Stars Spirit Square Opening Celebration. Merritt’s ‘Spirit Square’ officially opens Saturday, November 28 at 12:30 p.m., and will feature many local and national entertainers, including Nashville recording artists, The Higgins, as well as rising star, AJ Woodworth. The grand opening is part of a weekend-long celebration of Merritt country Christmas. “Being part of the Spirit Square opening celebration with AJ Woodworth and The Higgins is a huge honour, as it’s an amazing opportunity to celebrate a rich history of country music with other artists and fans of the genre,” said Jordan Doell. “I always enjoy performing in Merritt – at both the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, as well as at local venues – and it is always inspiring for me to come to a community that shines a spotlight on country music and celebrates so many incredible talents through the popular Walk of Stars attraction.” Doell will also be riding on the Merritt Walk of Stars parade float on November 27, with The Higgins and Woodworth, as well as other local musicians performing at the grand opening the following day. Jordan has been touring vigorously to promote his sophomore album, ‘Politically Incorrect,’ which Gord Bamford says is “one of the best sounding albums in Canada right now.” His third radio single, ‘The Last Good Reason,’ was selected as a single by fans and is currently spinning on more Canadian country radio stations than any other single in Jordan’s repertoire. The Merritt Walk of Stars parade begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 27, and the Spirit Square Grand Opening commences at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 28.
